BOKOMO RUSKS:
DUNK LIKE A BOSS

Brief:
Create a campaign that revitalizes the Bokomo Rusks brand in a fresh, insightful way.

Insight:
Dunking is something enjoyed by all rusk lovers. However, we all dunk differently.
​
Idea:
Dunk Like A Boss.
​
What we did:
We created a series of adverts that hid the fact that they were, in fact, ads that focused on showing the fun to be had with rusks and dunking.
​
How?
​
We started by creating a YouTube channel, something simple that looked basic enough to be done by someone without an ad budget. Next up, we worked alongside a director to write scripts that would give the illusion that they were unscripted and original. These were based on a character that is a rusk connoisseur of sorts and is slightly obsessed with 'the perfect dunk'.

We went on to cast two characters that would work well together while being believably "obsessed" with the art of rusk dunking. However, this didn't make it entirely believable. What did was the environment we chose to film in. A makeshift office space with bits and bobs that made everything feel authentic, like sticky notes and desktop wallpapers and other props. To further add to the authenticity, we created multiple online profiles that would interact and comment on these "homemade" videos.
In conclusion, we knew we couldn't hide the fact that these were ads for too long, so we went on to offer the character and his channel as sponsorship from Bokomo.
