PEPSI SA:
WIN LIKE A BALLER

Brief: 

Encourage the target market to consider Pepsi as an alternative cola choice by creating a campaign around soccer and the UEFA Champions League, as Pepsi is a main sponsor.

Insight:

Soccer fans aspire to live like soccer players (Ballers) as they live lavish lifestyles.

 

Idea:

Win like a baller.

What we did: 

In order to get the most exposure for the brand, we decided to run multiple easy-to-enter competitions with weekly giveaways using desirable prizes. All the consumers had to do was buy a Pepsi and dial their unique USSD code found under the cap.

 

The idea hinged on the fact that you could "win like a baller", essentially offering a soccer player's hourly salary (R200 000) as a grand prize. While giving away multiple smaller prizes like Macbook laptops, iPhones, vouchers and Pepsi's as daily prizes.

 

Using the grand prize and the other prizes, we created collateral that explained just how much you could do with R200 000.
